Keep moving
Dec. 19, 2008.
The ferry was sailing during the whole morning. By afternoon, we all were really tired. Most of the landscape is just jungle, and more jungle. A few stops in some communities, and then keep moving…
Sailing along the Marañon river
December 19, 2008.
After we left Nauta, the ferry headed to the Marañon river, another tributary of the Amazonas river. The travel was slow, and peaceful, in moments it can be bored, because the only things you see are trees, and forest… so you kill the time chatting with another passengers or just lay down in you hammock, although I should say it’s hard to keep in your hammock when it’s very hot….
A stop in Nauta
The first stop after spending the night in the ferry. Nauta is a small city around 100km far away from Iquitos. Now there’s a good road that helps to make faster travels. Years before, we had to take a ferry to get to Nauta.
Going north of Peru
Hello visitors,
My last travel was in interesting visit to some cities around the north of Peru. I was between the jungle, crossing the andes, and getting to the dessertic coast at the Pacific ocean shore. I was planning this travel during november, with the idea to be at my hometown by Christmas, and New year, but it didnt happen.
