Keep moving

Dec. 19, 2008.

The ferry was sailing during the whole morning. By afternoon, we all were really tired. Most of the landscape is just jungle, and more jungle. A few stops in some communities, and then keep moving…

The Marañon river looked wide..

Some communites looked like there were very few people living there…

We still were moving, and finally we got to the place where the Huallaga river starts… that means closer to Yurimaguas…

It was around 4 or 5pm than we got to another community along the Huallaga river. I don’t remeber the name of this community, but I went down the ferry to take some pics… It was a small place, typical, with a football camp in the center, and building around it, like the school, a health post, and, I think, a Church…

Here are the pics of this small community, and some kids who were there lookingat the ferry…

The whole operation here took around 45 minutes… it was getting late and some people were starting to find the best place to tide the hammocks… one of them found a funny place to tide one…

The night was comming, and all of us getting ready to keep sailing…. more later…
